Uber Drivers In Ghana On Sit Down Strike

Ride sharing App Uber which has been operating in Ghana for the past two years have had scores of it's drivers embarking on a sit down strike in protest of some promotions being run by the company as well as some 25% commission charges on their trips.

The drivers who gathered at the office of the transportation network company in Accra yesterday argues that the promotions is negatively affecting their revenue and thus not making the work profitable enough.

The drivers’ laments that their complains and agitations come after several attempts to get the company to address them proved futile.
